CHMSC Top Managers thoroughly examined the Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) to formulate Institutional Learning Outcomes and a Quality Policy on September 9 at the Mambukal Resort.
Dr. Andrew Eusebio Tan, Director of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME) and Co-chair of Institutional Competency Assessment (ICA) headed the orientation on the expected outcomes, followed by the presentation of outputs and critiquing by the President, Vice-Presidents, Executive Directors, Office Directors and Deans.
The outcome areas are as follow: 1. Creative, critical, and analytical thinking; 2. Global, cultural, social, ethical and environmental awareness; 3. Physical/mental wellness and personal responsibility and development; 4. Entrepreneurship and productivity; 5. Integrity and professionalism; 6. Lifelong learning competence; 7. Interpersonal and communication competence; 8. Quantitative and technological competence; and 9. Leadership competence.
The Academic Council has already approved the nine (9) Institutional Learning Outcomes when it convened on September 29.
In the meantime, the proposed Quality Policy still awaits approval from the Administrative Council.
