The CHMSCian delegation placed 3rd over-all in the PASUC VI Academic, Literary, and Cultural Festival held on November 5-6 at the West Visayas State University, Iloilo City.
True to their commitment to the College’s Vision of “Green CHMSC Excels”, the students proved that their education from CHMSC does not only sate the students’ verbal-linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligences, but also their musical-rhythmic and bodily-kinesthetic, leaning towards a holistic development.
The College is keen on revolutionizing its brand of education by expanding its horizons in multiple intelligences, integrating them into everyday practice in the classrooms and school grounds.
The students were adequately supported by the College as they pursued excellence in the area of academics including debate, science and math, and computer quizzes.
Likewise, the artistic CHMSCians delivered profound performances in the literary fields of oration, extemporaneous speech, poetry interpretation, and story-telling.
Equally, they impressed the judges with intelligent works in essay writing, and Filipino pagsusulat ng sanaysay, dagliang talumpati, and pagkukwento.
The festivities were simply spectacular with the colorful cultural competitions such as likha awit, choral singing.
Folk dance (Rural and indigenous), on-the-spot-painting, contemporary and hip-hop dance, instrumental solo, vocal solo (kundiman, vocal solo (pop), and vocal duet (pop) — the latter 2 CHMSC dominated victoriously.
